Product Care
Often we get asked if our jewellery is waterproof. Fun fact, it is- But read on to find out more!
Our Sterling Silver range is suitable in water, but understand that over time products that are Gold Plated over Sterling Silver WILL come off.
*Plating will last longer if you're cautiously aware of chemicals you maybe swimming in, body oils and products you are using etc. These all have an impact on the longevity of your products!
It is recommended that you take your Sterling Silver Jewellery off when swimming in a pool, hot springs and spas. Give them a quick rinse after a swim in the ocean, naturally salt can be quite corrosive.
Don't panic- If you forget all of the above simply follow either of these steps below to ensure no chemicals sit in your Jewellery and begin to damage it:
BAKING SODA PASTE
Mix two parts baking soda with one part water to make a paste like mixture. Gently rub the mixture onto your jewellery. Allow the paste to dry completely. Rinse & pat dry with a soft cloth or microfiber towel.
WHITE VINEGAR WITH WATER
Equally measure white vinegar and water in a bowl (I generally do 100ml of both). Place your jewellery in a bowl, large or small depending on how many items. Submerge for 20-25 mins, use a soft toothbrush to gently clean your items and then rinse with water, pat dry and wear.
Our PVC Stainless Steel range, is made to be worn in water, at the gym and even at the beach! This material is more durable meaning it is unlikely to tarnish or discolour.
Try and remove prior to applying, creams, suncream, lotions, oils, perfume etc. Over time these chemicals can affect the appearance of your pieces.
If you find your Jewellery becoming dull at any stage, simply wipe over with a soft cloth/ polishing cloth!
